What it costs you

Nothing for the organization.

The book is usually paid for by the client's family. If the family can't, we have partners and endowment funds that support specific stories. For some organizations we also work in a sponsored mode — we'll agree on what makes sense.

“Our clients are quite frail. Can they manage?”

Conversations are short, calm, regular. We adapt the pace to the client — sometimes a call is fifteen minutes, sometimes an hour. If the client can't or doesn't want to, we simply skip.

“Can we offer it only to selected families?”

Of course. Some organizations offer the service broadly, others only in specific situations — typically in hospice care or for long-term clients.

“What if the client doesn’t remember?”

The conversation isn't an interrogation or a memory test. We talk about whatever the client offers — fragments, repetitions, favourite words. The book then gives it shape.

“Can we get a sample book?”

Yes. We'll happily send you a sample chronicle by post and arrange a short visit where we hand over the book in person and discuss details.
